## My Approach

I am **Nerea Lindosa**, a bilingual General Health Psychologist (Psicóloga General Sanitaria) specialised in neurodivergence with more than 14 years' experience.

My professional journey has passed through very different contexts: clinical, educational, social, inside and outside Spain (UK NHS/CAMHS).

Working with children, teenagers, adults, families, professionals and educational centres has allowed me to approach the same reality from very different places.

The paradigm

## What is the Neurodiversity Paradigm?

The Neurodiversity Paradigm emerged within the social model of disability, where neurological differences (autism, ADHD, dyslexia and other conditions) are perceived as natural variations of the human brain and not as deficits, pathologies or disorders.

This paradigm promotes the acceptance and inclusion of neurodivergent people, as well as emphasising the value and opportunity that the different contributions of diverse neurotypes represent for society.
