Raising awareness about neurodivergence should not rest solely on neurodivergent people themselves.
The environments in which we study, work and socialise can greatly support wellbeing when there is greater understanding and small adaptations are introduced.
This way of understanding work with the environment is something I learned especially during my professional experience in London, working in natural contexts and observing to what point some simple changes could transform a person's everyday experience.
That is why I offer talks, training and one-off workshops for educational centres, primary and secondary schools, universities, professional teams and other organisations that want to incorporate a neurodiversity-informed perspective.
I do not work with a closed continuing training programme. Each proposal is shaped according to what the centre or team needs at that moment. It can be used to introduce the Neurodiversity Paradigm, to go deeper into a specific condition, to think about adaptations, to review situations that are generating difficulties or to support the team in relation to a specific student.
I can also collaborate with organisations or professionals who already offer training and want to incorporate neurodiversity-related content within their own programmes.
The sessions aim to combine knowledge, reflection and practical application. The intention is not only to understand better what neurodivergence is, but to think about what we can do differently in the spaces we share with neurodivergent people.
Sometimes, a better understanding of the person and the reduction of some of the environment's barriers can make a significant difference to their wellbeing, their participation and their everyday experience.
Training can take place face to face in Madrid or online, in Spanish or English.
